Richardson, Texas

Located in both Dallas and Collin counties, Richardson is known as “The Telecom Corridor” due to some of its most-know residents such as AT&T, Verizon and Samsung just to name a few! For a population just over 99,220 people, this inner suburb of Dallas is home to the University of Texas at Dallas having an upwards of 21,000 students enrolled each year. With a huge emphasis on education, Richardson is served by the Richardson Independent School District and twenty-one of those schools were have been named to the Texas Business and Education Coalition’s Honor Roll for 2008. The portion of the city located in Collin County is served by the Plano Independent School District. Richardson is also home to eight private schools, two of which are K-8 and operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas. On the east-most side of Richardson lies Breckinridge Park, a 417-acre park filled with multiple soccer and softball fields plus ponds and picnic areas for families to enjoy. Some of the other great amenities that the city offers are the Huffhines Tennis Center as well as the Canyon Creek Country Club and golf course. With its growing population and just a short 20 to 25-minute drive south and you can wind up in downtown Dallas!
