Wylie, Texas

Located on the south shoreline of Lavon Lake and near Lake Ray Hubbard, Wylie is situated in Collin, Dallas and Rockwall counties. With the motto, “Honoring our past; Embracing our present; Planning our future,” Wylie is an upbeat and community-driven city. Having a population of a little over 45,900 people, the town has plenty of events year round to get the residents involved including the Arts Festival, Parade & Tree Lighting, Bluegrass on Ballard, Pedal Car Race and the Taste of Wylie. Originally named Nickelville, the city is served by four Independent School Districts; Collin County belongs to both Wylie Independent School District and by Princeton Independent School District, Dallas County belongs to Garland Independent School District and Rockwall County is served by Rockwall Independent School District. Wylie is also home to many parks and lakes available for a multitude of outdoor activities, as well as the local Woodbridge Golf Club located on the south-most end of the city!
